THE YOUNG ‘TURKS’:
“A TRUE REVELATION”
I strongly believe that the youth of our
country and of the world at large should not have more influence on what
happens in their lives, since parents hardly ever manage to spend enough time
with them. In the great race of survival, most parents especially the ones who
are trying to make their ends meet, work so hard to cater for their young ones
in order to give them the best that they can. This makes them ignore their
children and their needs. Thus leaving them at the mercy of the world, its people and the environment in
general.
Recent research in
most newspapers and the media reveal the youth’s frustrations being vented out
in actions such as burning their dormitories, labs and classrooms. This shows
that such students were either not guided well by their parents, teachers and
friends such that they fell victim to the wrong company; this is where parents
should come in as consultants to their children to show them the difference
between right and wrong.
Wisdom comes in
the form of experience, and that exists in the minds of parents and not
immature youth; that is why it is very important for parents to play advisory
roles in guiding our youth towards their bright future. That will make them better
prepared to face the challenges, trials and ordeals ahead of them…
