NEW YEAR, NEW RESOLUTION

NEW YEAR, NEW RESOLUTION
Hola readers/listeners!
What comes to your mind when you think of ‘A NEW YEAR ANND RESOLUTION?’ Well for now let’s keep our answers to ourselves. Schools have started; what do you think would be the most advantageous thing that the resuming of school has brought with it? Seeing the expressions on some fella faces, it seems to have out some people on their toes as they wear weary faces. The back to school shopping offers have now arrived mainly on stationery, uniforms and many more… on the other hand, teachers seem to have had enough rest and re strategize on how to best deliver. They seem to have come up with some new interesting teaching methods such as group discussions, which is very cool!! Form 2’s are really excited to know that they have got a new set book for the term, and we all are really happy to see our friends and teachers after soooooo long! Missed them isn’t?
Down to the ‘bad stuff’: students claim that their sleeping time has been reduced which is causing them to have more of the holiday hangovers fatigue (sleeping in class), laziness in doing assignments, severe headaches, and much more. Some are physically in class but their minds are still on the beach or in India! While some argue that they have forgotten how to dress e.g. Tie their tie or forgotten how to write legibly, are these excuses or are they seriously confused as to what they are supposed to do? Challenges and tensions are filled in the atmosphere. Students are complaining to have gotten homework on the first day and find it really boring! Most say that teachers are having holiday hangovers, too they claim that our teachers didn’t even greet them and wore glooming faces. But just start teaching when they got to class. Students are also still stuck on holidays and are having hangovers as previously mentioned.
Too much eating during the holidays and no exercise has left some of us lazy and somehow plump, while for others a healthy diet has made them fit enough to stay active. We all understand how hard it was to get out of our bed this morning but it’s just for your own good. I wonder what are the candidate’s take on this? How the day was spent is all mentioned earlier but seeing again the scorching sun, dry grass and the lion’s field that has been messed up in the preparation for the upcoming sports day. ‘Oh, how we hope is going to be the case!’
Some lessons get annoying as they are the only ones’ students will be taking down notes in. As always students aren’t able to find their desks and chairs. Our absence from school was evident by the dust and dirt that graced our seats, but that’s not really a big issue, is it? The increase in school fees had made parents worried impelling them to make us work harder, which we have to do, to prove that we are not letting their hard earned money go in vain.
And finally, when all is said and done, we can only feel grateful that it’s a short week, and thank God the weekend is here one again.
Please keep logging onto our blogpost at melvinpress.blogspot.co.ke. wish you all a nice weekend, fruitful and blessed 2017. THANK YOU!
