TEENAGE PROBLEMS

Who said growing up is easy? It is a process filled with so many stumbling blocks. Talk of life living you and not you living life to the fullest. In recent times, teenagers are facing various problems. It is very possible to be overwhelmed by teenage issues such as drug abuse, sexual pressure, parental relationships, addiction, disobedience, and low self-esteem.
Checkpoint one:
Among these issues affecting teenagers include teenage depression. This is one of the contributing factors to problems adolescents face. There are lots of evidence that suggest that teenage runaways, drinking disorders, drug issues, pregnancy, anorexia and suicide are on the rise.
Checkpoint two:
Drinking disorders among teenagers is another painstaking task that parents and the teenagers themselves are forced to deal with.  The reality is that, alcohol is often the cause of many problems among these teenagers. Simply put, alcohol ruins many young people’s lives, and is now of the most serious problems young people face. Drinking and driving is one large problem often linked with teenage drinking as they are not only accustomed to the traffic laws being young drivers, but they are also careless and not stable behind the wheel.
Checkpoint three:
Another issue they may be forced to deal with is Teenage pregnancy. Who wants to be called a dad or a mum yet you just became an adult at eighteen. There is so much fun to enjoy and so much to explore.
Checkpoint four:
Is it morally right for a teenager to have an abortion? Is it justified for them to do so? Teenagers with unplanned pregnancies face difficult choices. If a teen gives birth and keeps the baby, she is much more likely to drop out of school, give poor health care to the child or develop health problems herself. Some resort to abortion as a solution. But can these acts really be justified?
In conclusion, despite the seemingly many odds, these issues are a true reflection of the challenges the teenagers may face from time to time, and how the freedom given to teenagers can have a positive or negative effect. There should be much insight shared on lessons that can benefit the teens, parents and teachers. For the teenagers, establish the meaning of life and how you can deal with some of the challenges that you facing as a teenager.
For the parents, think of better ways of handling their children and decide on what should be priority in their lives. This is a crucial part of our lives and we need much guidance. Accord us enough guidance on how we can respond to undesirable situations, which may crop up as part of our growing up.Help us acquire characters traits that will help to end most of the teenage problems in the contemporary society. What did you do to overcome them when you were my age?
