TRANSCENDING LOVE
And
as our hands intertwined,
I
felt her gnarled red palms
It
was an unexplainable fear I encountered,
But
with our thoughts linked she comforted it somehow
As
she smiled, I noticed the faint flush of red that guarded her cheekbones.
It
was her nature to laugh, a laughter that brightened even a sun deprived day
She
was the light of my life, shining too the depth of the world
I
believe then that she represented the dome of all heavenly grace.
Never
did I worry when her companionship was within my reach
And
undoubtedly she was a blossom, a blossom that never withered
Her
eyes lit the skies overhead making me think she was the genesis of all things
lovely
For
me , she would ransack the pits of hell and come back to kiss me goodnight.
She
was like itself
She
was my grandmother!
And
my love for her transcend this barrier called death
