EXERCISE AND HEALTH
What
is exercise?
This
is an activity requiring physical effort carried out, especially to sustain or
improve health and fitness.
In
other words it aims to maintain or enhance our general health.
Studies
have found that stress levels and cultural considerations affect how much and
for what reasons students exercise and how much exercise do we need.
Recommendations
for exercises can consist of an hour of exercise per day.
There
are two types of exercises

Aerobics
·
Anaerobic
Aerobic
This
exercises helps in improving of oxygen consumption in the body this can include
jogging and warming up for 20 minutes then a cool down break and continuing.
Anaerobic
The
aim of anaerobic exercise is to build up power strength and muscle this can
include sprinting and rapid bursts of hard exercise.

Increases stamina and endurance

Increases blood flow

Reduces blood pressure
