Once Bitten Twice
Shy
It was a late evening; stars glimmered and
lit the dull night sky. The sky was enlightened by moon as it strolled through
the sky.
I was walking down the trail back home
when I caught a glimpse of a forest. As curiosity overcame my fear, I
approached the forest.
The leaves on the ground rustled as I
walked on them. A twilight breeze left my skin with goose bumps. There were shadows
that raced on top of the trees and the hooting of owls scared me to the bone.
I continued to walk when suddenly; I hear
a high pitched shriek. My heart rose to my mouth. I was faced up by a gigantic
silhouette of a bear. I did not know what to do so I made a dash back to the
path.
I stumbled across trees, bruised my heals
and nearly fell face down when I thought it was chasing me. Fortunately I made
it……
I arrived home at the nick of time. That
night I did not sleep well knowing of the events that occurred.
Since that day I have never set foot into
the Forest.
