Never Give Up

Never Give Up
Life is hard that is what they say. The challenges, the obstacles and the hardships, they are just too much to handle. I can guarantee that these words run in your mind once in a while. You always willing to give up not ready to fight. Always looking at the negative side of things.  Is it hard for you to believe in yourself? To trust your instincts? Well believe me or not success does not come just by waking up one day and winning a noble prize. Success comes when you are willing to try and not give up.

Does it mean if you fail or fall, it is the end of you? But don’t you think about your life, my life, our lives has more significance, more than just a blueprint or more that strings of a guitar waiting to be strung. Life is merely an illusion, same made up of fairy tales a kind where life is already planned out for you, choices made on behalf or better, a dream not just any dream. Where you see yourself holding a noble prize and a grand audience clapping at your every word.

Life is more than that, greater than the missile that blinds you from reality, you have to look deeper than the layers of fake lifestyle and false prophets. You have to look at what ignites the speak within you, the real you, not the fantasiser or the disbeliever. You have to believe in yourself, believe in your talent, fight for what you believe in just believe in yourself and, in yourself you will find strength.

On top of the hill

On top of the hill

I read in the newspaper about a house on top of a cliff. It was alleged that whenever children go to play there, they always get hurt and swear never to come back. I shivered, as though, ice had replaced my spine. I decided, as a reporter, to go the house and investigate more about that area .I packed everything I would need at the house, and my father dropped me there.
As I stood, gazing at the dilapidated house. I could see the house`s wall showed black by neglect. cracks had started forming and insects were crawling out of them. At the gate red roses grew widly in thick batches. The moonlight cast a ghoulish glow on the house. Paint hinted at the house former prosperity.
Vines formed a twisted maze upon the side of the house reaching their tentacles towards the roof. The door begrudgingly creaked open that’s when a musty, dunk odour crept into my nose. Water was seeping through the roof which left black and brown molds dotting the ceiling in clusters.
Dust swirled around the room, cobwebs covered the corners, tiny black spiders threading towards their prey. Window were covered with grim and dirt. The sofa and chair were over-turned. Wallpaper lay curled on the floor, picture frame hanged off-centered. The house was dead silent except for creaks , moarns and hooting of a distance owl.
I made my way into the hallway; a slimmer of light came behind a door. I approached and opened the door. I had reached the bathroom. The window was locked and very dirty, a slimmer of light flowed into the room. I made my way inside. The cabinet mirror lay shattered in pieces on the floor tile. The first aid box was broken. Empty medicine bottle lay in the porcelain sink evidence showing that children came into the bathroom and touched things they were not supposed to.
The result I made of the house was, everything was destroyed and was not in its place. In addition to this, there was no light that’s why children fall down easily and get hurt.

Once Bitten Twice Shy

Once Bitten Twice Shy
It was a late evening; stars glimmered and lit the dull night sky. The sky was enlightened by moon as it strolled through the sky.
I was walking down the trail back home when I caught a glimpse of a forest. As curiosity overcame my fear, I approached the forest.
The leaves on the ground rustled as I walked on them. A twilight breeze left my skin with goose bumps. There were shadows that raced on top of the trees and the hooting of owls scared me to the bone.
I continued to walk when suddenly; I hear a high pitched shriek. My heart rose to my mouth. I was faced up by a gigantic silhouette of a bear. I did not know what to do so I made a dash back to the path.
I stumbled across trees, bruised my heals and nearly fell face down when I thought it was chasing me. Fortunately I made it……
I arrived home at the nick of time. That night I did not sleep well knowing of the events that occurred.
Since that day I have never set foot into the Forest.

THE DILAPIDATED HOUSE

  THE DILAPIDATED HOUSE

On September of fifteenth, I read in a newspaper reporting that there was a house on top of the cliff saying that whenever children went there they get injured and swear never to go back there. So I decided to pay a visit to the place. On the next day I was prepared to go to the house. I was there by 11 am. Red roses grown wild in thick batches by the gate, I pushed the heavy gates made of iron bars as cold as ice and made my way into the house.
As I stood gazing at the dilapidated house, it was tall and thin made of old grey stones. There was over grown grass all over the compound. Vines formed a twisted maze upon the side of the house reaching their tentacles towards the roof. The door was covered with cobwebs and it was cracked. There were tiny black spiders heading towards their prey. There were potted plants decorated beside the door. The door begrudgingly opened. There was musty odor in the air, the sofas and chairs were covered with a white torn, dirty cloth.
The house was dead silent. I switched on the lights and the bulb was flickering and it was producing electric sparks then it burst into a million pieces. Water was sweeping through the roofs and had left black and brown molds on the ceiling. The window glass was cracked and had dirt on it like snow. I asked myself, if children know that this place is not good. Why do they still come to play here in this scary looking house? There were gloomy staircases, every step I took there was a squeak or creek.
The hallway was dull and smelt very dusty that I almost suffocated, and I sneezed hard!! There were wallpapers and picture frames on the floor and Brocken mirrors too. I saw some children coming with a ball, and started playing football. Then I saw the children falling and getting injured because of the rocks they could not see in the overgrown grass. After that they came inside to play hide and see and when they saw me, they ran away from the house. Then I got out of there and went back to the village and told everyone that there is no one who is there to harm the children. Why the children seared never to go there is because the house was very dark and looked scary.
