NOTHING BETTER THAN MY SISTER

These are the times of double incomes, but more divorces. These are the times of fancier houses, but broken homes. These are the times of broader highways, but narrower viewpoints. These are the times of high-rise buildings, but low-rise characters. These are the times of steep profits, but shallower relationships. These are the times where man has gone all the way to the moon, but finds it difficult to cross the road and meet the new neighbour. These are the times where we have much too show in the show window, but nothing to show in the stock window and in these times finding a great sister like mine is like finding Kohinoor. With these backgrounds of the world a sister in any brother’s life holds great virtues and values in their life. When I first met my sister, I honestly didn’t know that she is going to be so important to me. One smile can start a friendship, one word can end a fight, one look can save a relationship, and one sister can change your life. She knows just where I dream to go, remember where I have been, accepts me just the way I am and treats me like a friend. She’s someone who is there for me, no matter what or when and every time am with her it’s like coming home again. A strong relationship doesn’t need daily conversation doesn’t always need togetherness, as long as the relationship lives in the heart, true brothers & sisters will never part. Twenty years from now, I am going to look back and remember that my sister was that one person who lifted my head when I was losing faith in myself; that one person who carried tears on her shoulders, after every fight, every breakup, and every death; that one person that accepted every decision I made and guided me where wrong, that one person who knew who I really was and that one person that made the biggest difference in my life……my best sister. We may fight and we may cry, but our relation will never die. I’ll care for you until the end because you’ll always be my very best sister, very best friend.

MY DAD

MY DAD
My dad is smart.
He is not fat.
He wears a suit
Which looks real cute.

After all, he is my dad.
He is not that bad.
He makes me mad
Which makes me sad.

He loves me so much,
And takes me for lunch.
Or takes me to a match
Where he buys me a watch.

Sometimes we walk and see the sunset
That makes my dad and me well set.

We walk on foot
Through a dusty route.
When cars hoot,
He pulls me out of the wrong route.

LIFE A JOURNEY

LIFE A JOURNEY

Life is a journey,
Difficult , like earning money,
You’ll face difficulties,
Like handling your exam results.

People say, life can amaze you,
But, I say it’s a game of belief.
It shows you a way to go through,
And gives your mind a relief.

Life is a journey
Jump high to catch it
I know you will reach your summit.
Believe in yourself and you’ll achieve your aim.

SO LOVE THE PEOPLE WHO TREAT YOU RIGHT,
AND FORGET PEOPLE WHO DON’T.

Life as teenager!!

 Life as teenager!!
We Teens truly have millions of problems that we have either gone through or are recently going through, isn’t it?  Every teen reading this knows what kinda problems I am referring to!
Being a teen is like, being in a dream land, there are so many things you want to try or experiment, but some time fear or just the will power to try, stops you from trying.
The Problems are many, among them include the following;
·       Mood Swings;
·       drugs
·       Identity crisis
·       Peer pressure
·       Low self esteem
·       Adolescent issues
·       Decision making
·       Being torn between being looked as a child visa vi an adult
·       relationships with parents,
·       relationships with siblings
·       relationships with friends.
·       Fights with your so called “BFF”
e.g. if they talk and try to act friendly towards other people and mistakely forget you even for a minute, the jealousy that you feel can bring up a fight, which might probably be because of you not used to Him/Her talking to others quite oftenly.
Teens also have fights with their parents; just short arguments which may just last for some hours, because at the end the teen will just end up apologizing.
Love and relationships enter teen’s lives for the very first time, which may lead to them having to take decisions on their own. This decision might have been the first ever decision She/He may have taken without consultation.

FAIRYTALE GIRL!

FAIRYTALE GIRL!
I’m not that girl who’s loved by all.
Don’t wear dresses or go to balls.
I’m not the kind who likes to sing.
Don’t dream of wearing a diamond ring.

I’ve watched the movies a hundred times.
Promises of a tall, dark, and handsome Boy in disguise.

But I know there’s more out there, Waiting for me.
My dreams come in a different variety.

My blue jeans, My sneakers, My hopes and dreams
Have a fairytale ending Just for me.

So goodbye Cinderella, ‘Cause I’m on a roll.’
Don’t need a prince charming to have or to hold.

The way I am is perfect, No doubt in my mind.
I’m different, I guess, and I guess I don’t mind…

So to all you Pretty girls and Handsome boys out there
No matter what, we teens have to remain strong and never disappoint anyone who has high expectations from us!!

TEEN TEXTING

TEEN TEXTING
Texting is a growing problem among teens in school. The time spent texting takes away from the learning experience as teen focus turns from academics to social life.

While teens pass the time texting away, they are missing out on true thinking. Idle thinking is time for the brain to reflect aimlessly on the things that affect everyday life. Constantly barraged with text messages, the teen mind has little time to wonder.

Texting has a language of its own, and teens are blending this electronic lingo into their everyday language. Hence, the English language is evolving, and if you are not part of the texting crowd, you may not understand what these teens are saying. That is, if they are saying anything at all.

For many teens, texting appears to replace one-on-one conversation
Unfortunately, the anonymity of texting also leaves teens susceptible to cyberbullying, since text messaging gives teens the opportunity to say things to one another without the discomfort of face-to-face conflict.

Imperfection

Imperfection

My life was perfectly imperfect,
With nothing but my perfect flaws,
Worse of all my ignorance tops up
But who said I needed to be perfect?

Life is nothing but a narrow road,
Filled with laughter and tear.
Not forgetting abundant mistakes
But who said I needed to be perfect?

My current tears mean no harm
With time life will flourish a beautiful smile
I still have hopes to rectify my doings.
Who even said I am perfect!

Imperfection is beauty, they say,
It’s the valid evidence I’m human
I stand up, head high, knowing the truth
But I know I’m perfectly myself.

Dear Diary,

Dear Diary,

Life has not really being going on well because I get a lot of homework but my best friend’s father’s current situation has just become depressing. I can’t question, reason or make decisions on several matters. He just lies flat on his sick bed, at home. He is helpless, has needles stuck on to his arm and tubes running through his nose. Only these keep him alive and with hope that maybe, just maybe he will be up and about again. This makes me feel sorry for my dear friend Viraf.

Viraf is obviously disturbed by his father’s situation and is need of my constant support and companionship. I wish I would have a permanent solution to his sorrow which of course is to stimulate a recovery process restoring his father’s state of normalcy. I regret my previous sentiments of calling him a cry baby upon his concern over his father’s unpredictable health. This was quite mean of me and I promise to be careful with what I speak, because words hurt and linger in memory for long.

Focusing on my friend’s circumstances has tended to reduce the magnitude of a situation of my own - my father. His unemployment situation has grayed his hair prematurely. He is tense all the time, always wondering what to do. He blames himself for not being able to give the best to his family and is usually lost in newspapers with hope that he might fight relevancy, to contribute effectively to our satisfaction.

Lately, he has been so much engraved in a state of deep thought to the extent that at times he appears to lose grip, gradually skidding towards a state of hopelessness. I really miss the days that everything used to be so fine, I wish I could do something. What a mess!
