THE MOST INTERESTING MAN IN THE WORLD

THE MOST INTERESTING MAN IN THE WORLD
He was a doctor, anthropologist, zoologist, journalist, actor and an Arctic explorer. The name is Freuchen……Peter Freuchen. After graduating university in 1906 to become a doctor, the Danish man went to his first arctic exploration at the age of 20.This is when he discovered that he loved living in the frosty environment, frequently facing starvation, blizzards, wolves and polar bears.
He decided to live amongst the local inuits in Thule,Greenland for over 20 years, where he married a local and gave her two children, killed a wolf with bare hands while he was attacked, established Thule into a trading base and led seven Arctic expeditions, because that is what you exactly do when you are a 6 foot 7 inch tower of testosterone! He also used to wear a jacket made of polar bear fur, which he had killed himself!

He once went on an Arctic exploration with his friend just to prove that Greenland was not separted from the North pole by a river. In a later expedition in 1926,he faced an uncanny blizzard which caused an avalanche, under which he was trapped. It was so tight and claustrophobic in there that his beard froze to the ice beneath him meaning he had to rip his beard off just to turn his head(which of course,he did). Some people believe that the testosterone in Peter’s beard have caused the polar ice caps to melt(out of fear). You may not believe it,but he made his way out by hardening his faeces in the cold to dig out of the ice. After escaping he realized that he had frost bites on all the toes on his both legs and he contracted gangrene,so he crawled three hours back to his base, the he amputated his gangrenous toes with a pair of pliers and  hammer without any anaesthesia.

In the 1930’s he returned to Denmark, wrote for a newspaper for a while, published 30 books and several scientific papers. He also won a prize for the best selling author.
His first wife died in 1921,but he went on to marry a Danish multimillionaire’s daughter. He continued going to expeditions to South Africa and Siberia, just for the thrill of it,and then acted in several moves, and also won an Oscar for his film Eskimo. As a jewish,he resisted Nazi movements in Denmark during world war II.When caught by the germans and sentenced to death,he single handedly escaped and fled to Sweden and continued to mess up Hitler’s plans until the war ended.
Later in 1946,he moved to New York where he married another woman, became friends with movie stars, and became the fifth person in history to answer the $64 million question, because that is what you exactly do when you are the most interesting person in the world! A year later he was awarded a gold medal by the International Bejamin Franklin Society for his services to mankind to open new frontiers. He died on 2nd September 1957,just three days after publishing his last work ‘The book of the seven seas’.
